A generous almost 20 minutes stint on the Nürburgring Grand Prix Circuit (you pay for 15 min, warmup lap omitted from the video). This is the so-called "tourist drives", with means that normal traffic rules applies (with liberal German speed limits naturally), overtaking is only allowed on the left and slow nitwitted bikers should use their mirrors - Grr.
I am still on the “no-longer-so-confidence-inspiring” brakes (see my previous video), which accounts for the very loud rumble during braking, in fact it was so loud it caused the audio of one of the cameras to distort. I have to say though, the RC5+ brake pads keep on trucking!!
With only 15 mins on track there is no time to adjust tire pressure. And since I was unsure how warm they were before going on the track I only lowered the pressure to 2.1 bar (30 psi), which obviously wasn’t enough (lots of squealing), but still 1.3 G lateral peaks is not too bad!
With braking early every corner (to be safe side with the worn brakes), being held by slower cars and suicide bikers cutting in front (like there is no tomorrow) the best lap was 2,39.66. There is a potential for low 2,3x. And I had great fun being chased and chasing a GT86 friend (thanks for letting me use your video). Good stuff!
